Here are a few of the road rules in the USA.. I hope it helps you all: All of the folowing are illegal: Do not park on a limited access divided highway (freeway or expressway) on any lane, including the hard shoulder and on and off ramps (slip roads). You may not park on the road within fifteen feet (or according to other sources, ten feet) of a fire hydrant or fire station entrance. The kerb may be marked yellow, but not always. You can't park in front of a dropped curb, or a public or private driveway. It is illegal to park on a sidewalk (what would be called the pavement in British English, but in American English the word pavement refers to the road surface which vehicles drive on). Do not park on a crosswalk (pedestrian crossing). You may not park within an intersection (road junction). It is illegal to park within twenty feet of a pedestrian crosswalk at an intersection. It is illegal to park within thirty feet of a Stop sign, a Yield sign or a traffic light. The kerb may be painted yellow, but not always. It is illegal to park on any bridge, overpass, railway track or within a highway tunnel. You can't park within three feet of a sidewalk ramp for the disabled. It is illegal to park alongside a red kerb or a yellow kerb. and finally you are also not allowed to double park.
